A Lazy Girl's Guide to Cleaning Makeup Brushes

"Makeup will come and go but brushes are forever"

Most people don't like cleaning their makeup brushes by hand, so the beauty community was very excited when companies started to bring out automatic brush cleaners. I purchased the StylPro expert by Tom Pellereau, that cleans and dries all makeup brushes and can clean multiple brushes at once.

This post will include information on the product, a video tutorial and a review.

The StylPro

The StylPro is the name of the piece in the image above. It is attached to a brush holder and spins the brush to clean and dry it. By pressing the on button once it will begin spinning and the first light will become green, press the button again and it will spin faster and the second light will become green also, press the button a third time and it will slowly stop spinning. The reason there are 2 settings is that it is suggested to use the first setting on smaller brushes and the second of larger brushes.

Packaging

The packaging is simple, compact and informative. The rectangular shape is really easy to store in any space. The plastic casing makes the product very light and is disgusted by a smaller paper box inside that advertises the product, providing information through text and images about the product including what it does, how to use it and the pieces included. The plastic loop creatively holds the Stylpro handle and is visible to customers unlike the other contents of the product. It is very simple to slip the StylPro handle into the plastic loop and the other contents of the box compactly fit inside the main component underneath the StylPro handle by simply opening the lid of the paper box where there it is spacious enough for the other pieces to be kept.

Directions

This product is super easy to use!

Match your brush with the corresponding brush holder - tighter is better than looser
Attach the brush holder to the StylProdip the brush in the water
Press the power button once or twice (depending on brush size)
Hold the brush in the water for 10 seconds
Raise the brush above the water
Allow the brush to dry for at least 10 seconds
Press the power button once or twice (depending on its current level)
Lift the brush out of the bucket

My Thoughts

Using the StylPro is heaps of fun, easy to use, fast, the brushes dry instantly and the brushes are super clean! The product is packed well and is good quality. While using the product you are able to complete 3 washes before you need to remove all water from the bucket into a sink. When holding the style pro, your hand can feel a little shaky at first because of the vibration but it doesn't hurt. The price of the product ($150) may seem expensive at first, however, I believe the product would last a long time and as you saw above their is a lot of pieces that come with the product.

A concern some of you might have is, what if they brush holder doesn't fit my brush? I can not say that the brushes holders will fit every single brush because I do not own every brush. I can say that I have found a perfect match for all of the brushes I own and I don't even own any brushes big enough for the 2 largest brush holders. The piece that holds multiple brushes, holds extremely small brushes. Overall, if you are willing to spend the $150 the product is definitely worth it.
