Huda Beauty Mini Obsessions Palette Review 

 

"Don’t forget to wear your crown today"

 

After a few months too many, I finally purchased the Huda Beauty Mini Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Mauve. I fell in love with it pretty much as soon as Huda released photos of this palette on her Snapchat. I’m pretty sure I still have a screenshot of the very first coloured photo she posted of this palette. I decided that I wanted it for my birthday. So, I go to the Sephora website all excited to buy my palette, but mum decided no we’ll buy it later. Okay okay, I’ll wait. Then the following day I went to the Sephora website and it is out of stock! Oh my I cried for at least 10 minutes. I feel blessed to own it now.

My Thoughts 

I have used the palette multiple times to now have developed some thoughts, all of the colours in the palette are absolutely STUNNING, work EXTREMELY well together and are quite pigmented. There is no fallout with any of the matte shades (6 shades) and there is minimal fallout of the glitter shades (3 shades), which is extremely common. All of the colours are easy to blend and apply.

 

The only thing that disappointed me was the size of the palette. Pictures online obviously make makeup products look larger than they are and this wasn’t the first time I have received a product that was smaller than I expected. However, it is called MINI Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette, so it was marketed appropriately. Considering the size I believe $50 is a little overpriced, however, it is extremely good quality and the pan sizes are quite large. The mirror is also a good size, using the majority of the space available. 

 

Overall, if you really love the shades in one of the palettes the money is definitely worth it, however, if you are not overly keen and don’t think you’ll use it a lot it may not be worth it for you. The Mauve palette is incredible and I would definitely recommend it, I can’t share my thoughts on the other palettes as I have never tried them, however, I believe it would be fair to say that the standard and quality would be equally as incredible as the Mauve palette.
