I first become interested in Kaolin when I purchased the L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask. Kaolin is a naturally occurring clay substance, and to my surprise is white in colour in its natural state. However, its colour can change when combined with other elements. It is used as skin detoxifying and cleansing agent, as it contains a high content of silica that helps remove dead skin and helps the skin to regenerate. Making it most effective on oily skin. It works by reducing the production of sebum a naturally occur oil of the ski, which hen overproduced causes oily skin and acne.
Kaolin is the mildest type of clay, meaning it isn’t harsh on skin, making it perfect for those of you with sensitive skin!
