Venue & Celebrities

This is an image of the Urban Decay booth, just one of the many beautifully and carefully planned booth. All of the booth aimed to represent the product being sold. Urban Decay's feature product was the Petite Naked Heat palette.

The areas between the brand booths were quite large and in the center of the walkways were a couple of mirrors with a small collection of Clinique products, used to remove makeup. I think this was a fantastic idea as it promoted Clinique's products as well as helped removed all of the swatches you took during the festival :)

There was so many beautiful places to take photos during the festival, this image was taken in a selfie room connected to the Nars booth. The selfie room was small so a Mecca employee would hold your free Mecca Land tote bag you received at the door while you and your bestie took some selfies and then returned your bag to you. Meaning there was no randoms in the back of your selfie!

This is an image of the main stage before the Mecca Face Off competition, where 3 festival members got the opportunity to compete for a $1000 Mecca gift voucher

Let's be real this image doesn't even need an explanation! I met the beautiful Shani Grimmond and Bella Fiori, who are both even beautiful in real life, completely flawless.

I also met the absolutely stunning Brooke Hogan who was beautiful enough to let me take a photo with her. Also in the background of this image, you can see the Clinique stand I discussed earlier.

On entry everyone receives a Mecca Land tote bag and a wrist band. The tote bag was very helpful as you can put your phone, free samples and products in your tote bag will you walk around the festival.

As you exit Mecca Land, you go through a checkout and all of your free samples and the products you purchased are sealed in the bag in this bag

Free samples I received during the festival

Everyone received a Mecca Beauty Loop Box full of fantastic free samples and the most delicious cookie I've ever eaten!

I purchased the Nars Highlighting Powder in Forte De France

Swatch of the Nars Highlighting Powder. The shade is very similar to the skin tone of my arm, so I thought it was best to identify exactly where the swatch is.
My Thoughts
Mecca Land was an incredible experience! I had a wonderful day with my one of my best friends (who is the other girl in all of the photos if you haven't worked that out already ahahaha). I think that going with a friend or a couple of friends is perfect for this event. Going with a group of friends would be an incredible amount of fun, however, it might be hard when everyone wants to do something different.
It was very exciting to see new products from so many different brands. I would have loved to have seen even more products, in order to try and cater for everyone. Considering the products were new the Mecca staff had a respectful amount of knowledge on the products and were very willing to apply any of the products on you, just like in store.
Meeting Shani and Bella was definitely the highlight of my session at Mecca Land. They are both even prettier in real life, their makeup looked absolutely flawless and they were so sweet. I also met BROOKE HOGAN, who was at Mecca Land promoting YSL, she's absolutely gorgeous.
I think the choice of venue was very good, it was large enough for all of the booths and the main stage. Also, there was enough space for everyone to walk around. The venue was decorated beautifully and made a lovely atmosphere. There was free doughnuts and free ice cream which was delicious!
